About Two Into One
A safe and loving marriage is not built on love alone. It also needs knowledge, understanding and practical tools.
Two Into One was created to help people prepare for marriage, and to give couples who are already married a deeper understanding of themselves and of each other.
The goal is to prevent unnecessary conflict, destructive patterns and separations – before the problems have grown large.
Why is knowledge about marriage needed?
We study for our professions and prepare carefully for the wedding day. But how much do we really prepare for the marriage itself?
Most relationship problems do not begin with a lack of love. They begin with unspoken expectations, poor communication, misunderstandings and not knowing each other’s needs, rights and responsibilities.
That is why we believe knowledge before and during marriage can make a real difference.
The experience from Malaysia
In Malaysia, Muslim couples must complete a marriage course before the wedding. In the state of Perak the reported divorce rate fell from 11 to 7.6 percent after five years of marriage preparation work – a relative decrease of about 31 percent. A later study found that 97 percent of 400 married participants felt the course had been valuable for their marriage.
Statistics alone do not prove that education prevents divorce, but they support the idea behind Two Into One: the right knowledge at the right time helps people prevent problems and build stronger relationships.

Two Into One rests on Islamic values and guidance from the Qur’an and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). At the same time it takes seriously the questions, challenges and conditions Muslims meet in a Western society.
Islamic guidance is joined here with modern relationship knowledge, reflection and practical tools, so that timeless principles become clear and usable in everyday life.
Behind Two Into One
My name is Haydar Abbas and I am the founder of Two Into One.
For a long time I have worked with lectures and study material on Islam, personal development, family life and marriage. One thought kept growing clearer: we need to get better at preparing people for marriage before the problems appear.
Two Into One grew out of the wish to gather that knowledge in a clear, honest and practical way. No perfect picture of marriage is painted here. Instead we speak openly about love, responsibility, differences, vulnerability and the challenges of building a life together.
Our vision
Our vision is to contribute to more conscious choices, safer relationships and stronger families.
We want to help people move from two individuals to a true partnership – without anyone losing their identity.
That is the path from two into one.
How we handle sources
Qur’anic verses and narrations are shown in the original Arabic with a translation. Where scholars differ, the course describes the reasoning rather than naming individuals.
